About the Organisation
Price Holyoake has been supplying air management solutions to the Australian construction and building services market for over 70 years. They manufacture and distribute a broad range of HVAC products used across commercial, industrial and residential projects nationwide.

The business has built its reputation on product quality and technical support. As they continue to invest in expanding their product range and performance standards, they're creating a new Management Accountant role to strengthen their finance function and support the next phase of growth.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of the monthly management accounts cycle and play a key commercial role across the business.

Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate and timely management accounts, developing reporting packages for the leadership team, and providing variance analysis against budget and forecast. You'll coordinate the annual budgeting process and work closely with department heads to monitor performance and identify opportunities.

With a strong focus on cost accounting, you'll maintain and develop the costing framework — including standard costing and overhead allocation. This means monitoring manufacturing costs, conducting cost reviews, analysing product profitability, and providing recommendations to improve margins and operational efficiency. Rounding out the cost accounting remit, you'll also support inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and WIP reviews.

This is a hands-on finance position. You'll work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Stock Control, Procurement and Sales — providing financial analysis and support, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and driving process improvements across the business.
  
The Candidate
You have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, and 4–5 years' experience in a management accounting or similar finance role. You're CPA or CA qualified, or working towards completion.

You have demonstrated experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts, and you're comfortable providing variance analysis and commercial insights. Your Excel skills are advanced, and you have a strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

You're proactive — you identify issues early and come to the table with solutions, not just problems. Experience in manufacturing is highly regarded. If you have a solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, or production environments, you're strongly encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of accounting and ERP software (MYOB, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar) is also advantageous.
