About the Organisation
My client is a leading employer of choice in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The organisation operates with a well established finance function and is known for its structured processes and collaborative environment. Due to an internal move within the team, they require additional support to ensure the accuracy and management of their fixed asset portfolio and capital work program.
  
The Role
Supporting the Fixed Assets Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the fixed asset register while assisting across capital portfolio activities.

Your responsibilities will include managing asset additions, disposals, capitalisation, and depreciation, along with supporting capital WIP and broader capital portfolio tracking. A key focus of the role will also be cleaning up and tidying existing asset data, ensuring accuracy and compliance across reporting.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can step in quickly, take ownership of deliverables, and provide reliable support across the function.
This role will also support the core financial reporting team with month end and other financial reporting tasks.
  
  
The Candidate
You are an experienced Finance Accountant with strong exposure to fixed assets and capital accounting. You bring proven experience managing fixed asset registers, with a strong understanding of capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and asset lifecycle management. You are detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a contract environment, and able to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

• Initial 4 month contract role
• Western Suburbs location with great corporate offices
• Part time 4 days per week or 4 days across 5 day work week
