About the Organisation
Green Peak Energy (GPE) is a leading provider of on-site renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers across Australia and New Zealand. Following CBRE’s Investment Management’s investment into GPE, the business is looking to expand its product offerings to assist businesses and property owners navigate the accelerating energy transition. GPE is in a dynamic growth phase, backed by CBRE this is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager help the organisation drive the commercial energy transition.
  
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and overseeing an AP/AR lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing scalable financial systems and processes during a period of significant organisational growth. You will lead the transition to MYOB Acumatica ERP, designing business processes aligned to system requirements and defining GL data structures with appropriate reporting granularity.
Your responsibilities will include owning the month-end close process encompassing revenue recognition, accruals and deferrals, managing fixed asset register reconciliation and depreciation, and handling balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts. You will oversee all tax compliance including BAS, Payroll Tax, WHT and PAYG, while taking ownership of management reporting, forecasting and the company budgeting process. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for external auditors and create management reports using the Velixo reporting interface.
  
The Candidate
You are a CPA or CA qualified finance professional with proven accounting experience in small to medium-sized businesses. You have hands-on experience with mid-tier ERP systems, with MYOB Acumatica experience highly regarded. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with the ability to design and implement robust financial processes from the ground up.

Green Peak Energy are a fully work from home organisation, therefore this position suits a person who is self-motivated and can deliver in an autonomous role. The finance team do team catchups regularly in Melbourne’s CBD.
